Alva was about to speak when he was cut off by someone else. “Ja, you do belong here. You alvays have vhether you realize it or not,” Eber said as he moved more into the gallery. “As for ze rest of our family you have a twin named Sofie, Alvara here has a twin named Edsel, zere is my twin Johan, und myself Eberhart. If you look about two paintings to your right you’ll see a painting of our mama und papa. Zough mama is bigger at ze moment because of ze triplets she is carrying.”
Frei blushed and chuckled lightly as soon as a new person entered. “Hallo there! So you’re my brother too? Aww, too bad! I think I’m slowly having a sliiight crush on you, same goes for Alvara!” she covered her mouth to suppress her giggles. “Oh wow, so everyone here has a twin? And oh!” she limped to the right and touched the large painting. “Wow. She’s beautiful!” she looked at Eber and pointed at the portrait. “And you look like the man beside her!”
“A lot of people say zat I look so much like our papa und act like him too. I…don’t agree so much on ze acting like him zough. He’s a stronger und viser man zan I am or probably ever vill be,” he said and sighed inwardly. “A lot of people also say zat you look und act much like our mama. You don’t zink zat you’re as pretty as her or vill be. I zink your beauty could match mother’s as you get older but it vould be your own special beauty,” he added. Alva just stayed quiet for now and was blushing slightly.
Frei tilted her head to one side, a little boggled to what he said, but she gave him a genuine smile. “Danke! I do not know if I get complimented a lot but…thank you! Even though I completely don’t know how our father acts like, I’m sure you’ll be like him too!” she said, before turning around and limping again.
“You’re velcome,” Eber said as she went back to looking around the gallery. “Vhen you’re done looking around ze gallery can I take a look at your leg? I vant to be sure zat all it probably needs is rest und elevation,” he said.
“Mhm, it’s alright!” she said as she glanced at him once more. “I don’t want to bother anyone with it, and I can still walk! Only a bit limp-y though.” she looked down on her sore leg and laughed. “And I am sure you are busy, just like Sofie, who went out just a while ago.”
“…and my head hurts quite a lot, but I’m sure it’ll be gone by then.”
“You vouldn’t vant to risk it getting vorse zough ja? You really should rest for avhile after you’re finished here. It vouldn’t be a bother und I’m not busy right now,” he responded.
Frei thought of a random idea and chuckled. “Worse…if I died, are you going to miss me?” she asked.
